很多人吃港式飲茶，不只是愛那一籠籠的小籠包、燒賣、流沙包……而是享受飲茶的特殊氛圍，熱鬧人聲中，熱騰騰菊花普洱茶、穿著港式制服的服務人員，推著最令人期待的推車逐桌展示，今日又是哪些好吃的港式小點？

要在美食小吃林立的臺南，經營餐廳不容易。特別是在1992年代，粵菜和港式餐廳對於當時的臺南人來說，仍屬於高檔餐廳。創立者李日東和朋友卻相當有遠見與膽識地合資成立「東東粵菜小館」，當時為了做出口碑，店裡每道菜都比別家餐廳便宜，卻沒想到，成本最高的鳳梨蝦球因此熱賣成招牌菜，卻是賣一盤賠一盤。店家表示：「但也因為這樣，臺南鄉親『吃好道相報』，每天都有一大批人領號碼牌排隊。當時董事長還在廚房當廚師，忙到一段落，他就會換上乾淨的廚師服，一桌桌跟客人打招呼。」當時逐桌招呼的廚師，如今已經成為臺南餐飲界的龍頭老大。李日東在過去二十幾年便奠定如今餐飲版圖絕非僥倖。

Running food business in Tainan is not easy, particularly in 1992 where Cantonese and Hong Kong restaurants are still high-end restaurants for Tainan people. Founder Ri-Dong Li and his friends entered joint venture of “Tung Tung Cantonese Cuisine.” All dishes were offered at cheaper price than others in order to distinguish the restaurant. For this reason the most expensive pineapple shrimp ball became very popular but the restaurant was losing money for each plate sold. The restaurant said: “There were many people coming to the restaurant and taking numbers just to line up. The Chairman was still the chef in the kitchen who would change into clean chef uniform to greet the customers one by one.”

二十幾年前胼手起家，安南鹽村出身的李日東，很小便在臺南知名的港式飲茶茶樓打工，當完兵後去日本唸書並在餐廳打工，因而練就一身好廚藝，膽識與見識也比同年齡的人高。回臺後，他決定以臺南少見的粵菜小炒與傳統搏感情方式經營，很快便做出口碑和名聲。

來到東東粵菜，令人期待的除了菜色，還有推車桌邊服務，剛剛出籠的小點逐桌展示，讓客人看著現做的小點，現場拿取，非常能刺激食慾。若您來到東東，除了鳳梨蝦球外，絕不能錯過店裡最受歡迎的黃金流沙包、蘿蔔糕、酥炸馬蹄條、荷葉糯米雞，以及粵式的道地椒鹽排骨、綠湖海鮮羹都是招牌菜餚。

經營事業二十幾年，李日東印象最深刻的是，曾有位客人點菜後，看到上桌的魚並非完整一條而是分成頭尾兩半，當下質疑餐廳偷工減料。李日東二話不說，現場拿了另一尾魚分成兩半，再次烹煮上桌，讓客人親眼見證與剛剛那尾魚長度一致，這豪爽乾脆的舉動，不僅當場化解誤會，還讓這位客人從此成為死忠顧客，經常光顧。

The chef greeting customers has now become the leader in catering industry. His success did not come easy and he has been working in famous Dim Sum restaurant in Tainan since little. He then went to study in Japan and worked in restaurant after completing the military service. His culinary skills are excellent while his boldness and knowledge is also higher than others. He has gained publicity with his rare Cantonese culinary skills in Tainan.

Do not miss the steam bun custard, turnip cake, glutinous chicken wrapped in lotus leave, and authentic Cantonese pepper salt rib, pineapple shrimp balls, and seafood thick soups at Tung Tung. Enjoy the dim sum cart service in Tainan that has gradually disappeared.
